Driving Change Through Science, Community, and Compassion

Freshwater Turtle Conservation:   Targeted efforts to monitor, protect, and restore populations of India’s rare and threatened freshwater turtles and tortoises.

Rewilding Program:   Science-backed rescue, rehabilitation, and reintroduction programs aimed at reviving critically endangered turtle populations.

Nesting Habitat Protection:   Safeguarding critical riverbanks and wetlands where turtles nest, preventing habitat loss and disturbance from human activities.

Rescue, Rehabilitation & Release:   Tactical interventions to rescue injured or traded turtles, nurse them back to health, and release them safely into the wild.

Community Engagement

Awareness & Education Initiatives:   Fostering local stewardship through school programs, community workshops, and awareness campaigns that highlight the importance of turtles and aquatic ecosystem health.

Capacity Building & Partnerships :   Collaborating with local communities, NGOs, and government bodies to strengthen conservation capabilities and promote sustainable practices.
